Very high quality furniture, lots of opportunity to customize, and great people. We very much enjoy working with Jen who is so patient and accommodating throughout the process. She gives us suggestions based on pictures/description of our space and her gathering of our preferences, but she never pushes or tries to upsell on material or options. We're now furnishing a third room with their furniture and will be back for more in time. You don't go here for cheap furniture, you go here if you want a reasonably priced piece that should last decades. You get to customize your furniture by choosing your material, stain, fabrics, and even modify dimensions where possible. Compared to similar furniture you could buy at another fine furniture store, you're probably paying a little less, getting better quality, and have much more input on the design with Shipshewana Furniture. There is a network of Amish furniture stores in the Midwest that sell similar pieces under different names. I've noticed Shipshewana often has the most competitive pricing, perhaps due to their very close proximity to the builders. Call in and ask about an incentive for visiting in-person as part of the purchase process. It's a neat store and also an interesting town to visit for a day or weekend trip.
